CBC Poetry Prize
Twenty-six poets (including seven Access Copyright affiliates – listed here and here) comprise the longlist for the CBC Poetry Prize, which was announced on November 3.

A shortlist will be announced on Nov. 17 with the winner revealed on Nov. 24. The winner will receive $6,000 from the Canada Council for the Arts as well as a 10-day writing residency at the Banff Centre. The winning poem will also be published in enRoute Magazine.
bpNichol Chapbook Award
Five AC affiliates made the finalist list for the bpNichol Chapbook Award, revealed late last month.
The Award honours the best poetry chapbook recently published in Canada. The winner will be announced on November 14 and receive a $4,000 prize.
Forest of Reading®
The Ontario Library Association (OLA) announced the nominees for the 2015-16 edition of the Forest of Reading® on October 15.
The OLA’s Forest of Reading®includes eight reading programs that target specific groups of students as young as junior kindergarten right up to first-time adult readers.
Schools, libraries and families across Canada can all register to take part and participate.
