Sixteen Access Copyright affiliates among 2014 Canadian Children’s Book Centre Awards finalists

Access Copyright affiliates account for over half of the Canadian writers and illustrators nominated for this year’s Canadian Children’s Book Centre Awards.

The Awards, which celebrate excellence in children’s fiction and non-fiction in Canada, are given out in seven categories, including both English and French children’s literature, picture books, non-fiction, historical fiction, mystery and science-fiction/fantasy.

Winners will be announced at two gala events this fall: one in Montreal on October 28 and another in Toronto on November 6.

Additionally, Canadian youth will get a chance to have their say starting on September 18 by selecting the winner of the TD Canadian Children’s Literature Fan Choice Award by voting online for the book they love best. One lucky reader will get a chance to present the Fan Choice Award in person at the November 6 gala in Toronto.
