Remembering Jackie Hushion
Thursday, December 10, 2015
The Access Copyright community was saddened this Fall by news of the death of Jackie Hushion, who succumbed to complications from a recurring illness on Sept. 27.
Jackie was executive director of the Canadian Publishers’ Council, chair of the Canadian Copyright Institute and a long-time advocate for writing and publishing in Canada.
“Few have been as committed and dedicated to writing and publishing in Canada as Jackie Hushion,” stated Roanie Levy, executive director of Access Copyright. “It’s true our industry has lost a passionate champion and advocate but it has gained a legion of dedicated professionals who have been mentored and inspired by Jackie.”
