Forest of Reading: Canada’s largest book club returns

Book clubs don’t get much bigger than the Ontario Library Association (OLA) Forest of Reading®.

Annually, 250,000 Canadians (almost exclusively children and teens) get involved in this nation-wide reading program aimed at fostering a new generation of enthusiastic and lifelong readers. 

This year’s program kicked off in October with the announcement of the nominations for seven of the eight reading programs that comprise the Forest of Reading®.

We are proud to report that many creator affiliates are included among this year’s nominees.

How to get involved in the Forest of Reading®

Schools, libraries and parents can register to take part in the program, including voting for their favourite in each reading program. Winners will be announced at the OLA’s annual Festival of Trees, a huge celebration of Canadian content attended by thousands of students. Events for next year’s Festival of Trees will take place in May in London, Ont., Sault-Ste-Marie, Ont. as well as Toronto.
