Family Literary Day, Jan. 27
Monday, January 26, 2015
Reading and learning. It goes without saying that both are important for any family with a young child or two. That`s the reasoning behind Family Literacy Day, a yearly initiative by ABC Life Literacy Canada that takes place on January 27.
Family Literary Day this year is focused on “15 Minutes of Fun” which encourages families to set aside a quarter of an hour each day for literacy and learning to, for example, read a book, play a board game or follow instructions to construct a craft.
The ABC website has lots of ideas and activities for family, teachers and librarians wishing to take part and celebrate Family Literacy Day.
