Creators conducting research-from-home invited to apply for a Research Grant

Access Copyright Foundation (ACF)’s Marian Hebb Research Grant program helps to facilitate members of Canada’s creative community to undertake important research and inquiry work that is invaluable to creating new works or initiatives.

As opportunities to travel to conduct research remain limited, ACF is pleased to announce that it has added additional flexibility to its Marian Hebb Research Grant program.

Creators now have two options when applying for a research grant. The first is to apply for a grant as usual for a research project involving travel. The second is to apply for a grant for an at-home research project to cover expenses such as costs for local transportation, video conferencing and other online services.

Publishers and organizations representing Canada’s creative and publishing communities can also apply for a grant for a research project, no matter if the project is conducted virtually, in-person or a combination of both.

ACF encourages all Canadian creators, publishers and the organizations looking to collect information and/or data to bring depth, resonance and authenticity for a publishable work, an innovative program, strategic initiative, study paper or report to apply for a Marian Hebb Research Grant by visiting the SK Arts Portal. The ACF grants program is administered by SK Arts (formerly the Saskatchewan Arts Board).

The deadline for applications is February 15 at 11:59 p.m. CST.
