The Foundation awarded its first set of Events Grants in 2010. In total, over 275 Events Grants have been awarded to Canada’s creative community totaling over $1.5 million in grant funding, a critical reinvestment by the Foundation into our country’s creative and cultural sectors.
The Foundation’s Events Grants program promotes the development and public appreciation of Canadian publishing, literary and visual arts through the hosting of public events or professional-development opportunities.
Access Copyright Foundation grants are awarded through a peer review process administered by SK Arts on behalf of the Foundation. Jurors for the 2025 Events Grant program were Amanda Farnel, operations manager of the Saskatchewan Festival of Words, Kaitlin Littlechild, executive director of the Indigenous Editors Association and Chelsey Young, executive assistant at Winnipeg International Writers Festival as well as the features editor of Prairie books NOW.
