If you are unsure whether your school has an Access Copyright licence or have questions about coverage, our team can help.
Educators regularly copy and share published materials to enhance learning, yet permissions are not always clear.
Access Copyright’s licence for independent schools provides educators and staff with pre-cleared permission to copy from 100 million published works in our repertoire.
Under the terms of the licence, educators and staff members have pre-cleared permission to copy up to 15% of an individual title from Access Copyright’s repertoire, in order to:
These permissions give educators the flexibility to enrich lessons while ensuring content use aligns with copyright requirements.
Royalties paid by schools are distributed to creators and publishers based on international best practices and statistical models, where possible, helping to ensure creators and publishers are fairly compensated for the works most likely to be used in independent schools.
Currently an independent school licensee with only print-copying coverage? Consider upgrading your licence to include digital uses of works in Access Copyright’s repertoire. Contact us to learn more.
