1. Affiliating with Access Copyright is free. That’s right, it costs absolutely nothing for published writers and visual artists to join.
2. You’ll receive royalties for the use of your work. Creating is your job and your work has value. That’s why you will receive compensation whenever we are notified that your work was copied under one of our licences.
3. The Annual Payback payment. Payback recognizes the contribution each writer and visual artist affiliate makes to the repertoire of works we license. Each year, affiliates receive a base payment with a secondary payment based on their published output over the past 20 years.
4. Your rightful place as part of one of Canada’s largest communities of writers, visual artists and publishers. If you retain copyright on at least one work you have published, you belong here.
