Payback for Writers and Payback for Visual Artists
Access Copyright's offices will be closed on Monday, May 20 for the Victoria Day long weekend. We re-open on Tuesday, May 21 at 9:00 a.m. EDT
The 2013 Payback claim period will start on April 2 and will close on May 31.
All creators affiliated with Access Copyright as of December 31, 2012 will be eligible to submit a claim for this year's payment. Payments are distributed at the end of every November.
The eligible publication years for your 2013 Payback claim are works published in print format between the years 1992 - 2011. Works published in 2012 will be requested next year. Digital/online works are not eligible.
You do not need to submit a 2013 claim if:
- You submitted a claim in the past and do not have any new (2011) works to add. Your 2013 payment will be calculated based on the data previously submitted.
- You did not publish any works between the years 1992 - 2011 in print format and for which you retain copyright.
